CUBO has been concerned on the origin of the raw materials, primarily sourced locally, making sure that no trees were cut down on purpose.

 

Woods are usually sourced out on:

•shorelines, river banks and under seawater---DAGSA

•trees that are taken down due to hazard, disease and natural disasters.

•local mountain areas, farmlands and fish ponds, through plowing and minor diggings (remnant roots and branches from trees taken down in the past)---HUKAY.

•reclamation from old houses and demolished sites

 

Woods are usually salvaged and reclaimed by locals. Each piece turned over is carefully examined to ensure that they pass the quality and aesthetic standards set by Cubo so that only durable and superior products will be produced.
